About Brooklyn

OCSB OR SEX ADDICTION THERAPY

Out-of-control sexual behavior (OCSB) or what some call sex addiction is described as a compulsive need to perform sexual acts in order to achieve the kind of “fix” that a person with alcohol use disorder gets from a drink. For some people, this condition can be highly dangerous and result in extreme difficulties with relationships. Like drug or alcohol dependence, it has the potential to negatively impact a person’s physical and mental health, personal relationships, quality of life, and safety. It may manifest as a compulsive need to masturbate, view pornography, or be in sexually stimulating situations. A person with these problems may significantly alter their life and activities in order to perform sexual acts, and is unable to control their behavior despite severe negative consequences.

BETRAYED PARTNER TRAUMA THERAPY

For the person in a primary relationship with a sex addict, betrayal trauma is devastating. The revealed secret sexual behaviors of the most trusted person in one’s life is emotionally shattering. It is a gut-wrenching experience that plagues you day and night. Betrayal is broken trust, deception, and treachery.

The person you thought your partner was is now viewed as a dangerous adversary, and one’s worthiness, sexuality, safety, and desireability is all completely compromised. A betrayed partner feels separated from his or her own reality, and benefits from gentle therapeutic treatment, empathy, guidance, and help with boundary-setting.
